Kasenyi Plains
Kasenyi is located in the north eastern of Queen Elizabeth national park in Kasese district in western Uganda. The plains are sitted on the western shores of the magnificent Lake Edward near the Kazinga channel confluence.
The region is characterized with open savanna and numerous wild animals especially Uganda kobs as this is the breeding place for them. Lions too are regulars in the area mainly to gaze upon their prey as they feed. In addition to these are birds that add to the beautiful view in the area. These include; the yellow-throated crow, red-throated spurfowls and the grey-crown cranes.
A thrilling activity in the Kasenyi plains is the game drive through the plains where to you can have a glance at lions catching upon their prey. The plains are also perfect for photography as they are open and offer a diverse view.
