Day 1: Pick up and transfer from Kigali to Queen Elizabeth National park

On this day, after having breakfast at your hotel in the morning you will get set and be picked by our driver guide and embark on a road trip from Kigali to Queen Elizabeth national park which is reffered to as the medley of wonders. You will have lunch en route as you proceed with the journey to the southern part of the park. Day 2:  Morning drive and Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest

After having breakfast at your pace, check out the lodge and transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park with another morning game drive so that you increase your chances of seeing tree climbing Lions with lunch en route or at the lodge in Bwindi, depending on time. You will be amazed by the terraced hills of Kigezi and the ever green forest of Bwindi with mist. The dense rainforest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, plants, and topical birds. On arrival, check in at the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay amidst the forests and verdant hills of Bwindi as you wait for the next day’s adventure

Day 3: Gorilla habituation Experience in Bwindi

You will wake up early in the morning and head to the park headquarters to join other clients for briefing about dos and don’ts while with mountain gorillas on your habituation experience. After briefing, you will start your trek into the forest guided by researchers and guides. During your trek, you may encounter several birds, other animals and primates in the forest and once you have found the gorillas you will spend four hours with them and return back to the Lodge for overnight. You will have an opportunity to listen and observer researchers doing their work of habituating gorillas and if possible you will be called upon to participate by collecting samples, naming of group members, making calls and so much more. You will later transfer to the lodge and retire for the day at

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Ibyiwacu visit

After having breakfast, get on a border crossing journey from Uganda to Ruhengeri in Rwanda. You will have lunch en route or at the lodge depending on time.In the evening, you will embark on the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village which gives you a rare chance to meet local people, in their environment, with a taste of the culture and traditions. Be genuinely welcomed by the community as a special visitor while they proudly present to you aspects of their traditions and beliefs. Expect to have a guided community walk to visit different sites and experience the everyday lives of the local people. You will have a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight

Day 5: Dian Fossey hike in Volcanoes and transfer back to Kigali

This five hour guided hike takes you to where Fossey and Digit were buried. Located within the Volcanoes National Park close to one of Dian Fossey’s former research centers, you can see the remains of her former research camp. Along the way, you’ll also learn more about Dian Fossey’s life and the tragic circumstances surrounding her death. The trek starts at 07:00 am from the Park Headquarters in Kinigi, from where visitors will have to be driven to the start point for the trek. At this legendary site you will as well see the house in which Dian Fossey was strangely murdered back in 1985 however more calm is at the place where she was laid to rest just close to her most-loved gorilla – Digit and close to 20 other gorillas some of which were killed by the brutal poachers and others suffered death due to other reasons. Her tomb stone reads “No one loved Gorillas more Rest in peace, dear friend eternally protected in this sacred ground for you are home Where you belong” You will later descend and transfer to Kigali, arriving late evening and be dropped at your point of call
