Nature walks in Kidepo Valley national park

Nature walks in Kidepo Valley national park ,Kidepo Valley National Park is endowed with beautiful landscapes and easy on the eye sceneries, whose beauty spreads beyond the wilderness, and valleys and seems to greet the sky. The park is a true gem with exceptional wildlife.

The nature walk safari starts at 7am at Apoka tourism office with your ranger who will share jaw-dropping wildlife experiences, make you comfortable and take you through the wilderness. You may walk to Narus valley-which is the most popular because of its short distance of 5km, the beautiful sceneries in it and the various game and birds. You will encounter buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes along this valley. Constant grazing of the area by the wildlife living here keeps the grass short, giving the visitors a clear view of game. You may choose to walk into the Morungole mountains for a more challenging yet exciting stride.

The duration of these nature walks vary, depending on the state of the trails determined by weather, the physical fitness of the tourist, the destination choice of the tourist, the physical features you intend to see and the sightings in the wilderness.

The most popular walks are the half day walks that start at 7am and end when the sun begins to scorch making the wildlife to hide in their comfort zones. Wear safari shorts or trousers with strong safari shoes with strong socks for the nature walk. Carry with you plenty of drinks and snacks to replenish along the way and do not forget your camera to take those memorable moments. The East African community is charged UGX10.000 for the walk whereas non-resident foreigners and resident foreigners pay $30 and $15 respectively.
