This 14 Days tour will take you through Uganda’s exclusive wildlife, found in her conservation areas which among others include Kidepo Valley, Murchison falls, the oldest and the largest! You will have a chance to encounter among others the endangered giant Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest, the playful chimpanzees in Kibale forest, the tree climbing Lions in Ishasha, the Zebras, Elephants and Impala herds in Lake Mburo National park. In all the national parks you will visit, birds will be around you!

Day1: Arrival and transfer to your hotel

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport (EBB), you will be met by a Yala safaris staff that will brief you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation as you get set for the next day’s adventure. You can have an optional city tour depending on your time of arrival. Dinner and overnight stay at Mestil Hotel

Day2: Transfer to Kitgum via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Early morning, the driver will pick you from your hotel and brief you before heading out to Kitgum which is in the northern part of Uganda. Along the way you will make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda so that you have a complete feel of the African Big five mammals as it is the Rhinos, out of the big five that are missing in Kidepo and Murchison Falls National park. Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have lunch at the sanctuary

and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and embark on an exciting road trip to Kitgum, arriving in the evening at the lodge for relaxation and dinner at Hotel Boma Kitgum

Day3: Transfer to Kidepo valley National Park-Wildlife viewing

After breakfast drive northwards through Kitgum in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners, An afternoon game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions. Dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savanna Lodge

Day4: Kidepo valley national park safari: Game drive and Karamajong community walk.

Depart in the morning after break and carry with you packed lunch for game drive to the hot springs via the palm trees lined Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches and leopards, tortoises along the way. After having our packed lunch we will stretch our legs on guided nature walk through the park and return to hotel Karamoja villages for an exciting community encounter with the Karamajong pastoralists, relax and have time to enjoy the wildernesses night overstay and meals at Kidepo Savanna Lodge

Day5: Kidepo valley national park wildlife safari and transfer to Gulu

After breakfast, have a morning game drive to search for Kidepo’s exclusive wildlife such as Ostriches, hartebeest, Roan antelopes and many woodland birds. Have lunch and relax by the lodge. Later, travel through the remotest zones of Uganda, seeing the villages and grass thatched houses passing by the window. View the wild, domestic and Cultural richness of this pearl of Africa, experience quality Vegetation Spend the night in the town of Gulu. Dinner and overnight at Gulu Churchill Courts

Day6: Transfer from Gulu to Murchison falls-Evening game drive

You will meet our professional driver guide at your Hotel in Gulu town and drive southwards to Murchison Falls National park reaching in afternoon at your hotel for lunch. After lunch, we depart for a game drive across the savannah in the northern part of the park. You will see abundant wildlife as the sun rises as Murchison Falls National Park is a home of game including Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hartebeests, Giraffes and a heaven of antelopes. Head back to the lodge and fro relaxation, dinner and overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge

Day7: Morning game drive- Boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls.

After an early morning warm up tea/coffee, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like: Lions, Giraffes, oribis, Elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, Buffaloes among other animals and bird species. You will then return to the lodge in time for lunch and relax preparing for yet an exciting activity in the afternoon. After lunch, transfer for a three hours boat ride on the Nile River to the bottom of falls where you will have the opportunity to view animals like; crocodiles, hippos, in the water and some on the river banks, while; buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants are often seen on the river bank grazing and drinking water. You will then have to hike to the top of the falls for a clear view of the falls. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge

Day8: Transfer to Kibale forest national park-the primates’ capital

After a healthy breakfast, you will be transfer to Kibale forest National Park, the capital world of Primates such as chimpanzee, baboons and monkeys. With en-route lunch meals. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for relaxation. Later in the day you shall transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands, situated on the eastern edge of the forest. There you shall take a light walk in the wetlands to observe plenty of wildlife including birds and many monkey species. You will retire for the day at Isunga Safari Lodge

Day9: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Assemble at the park headquarters for briefing and then go for the most popular activity in this park which is Chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzees are man’s closet cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate’s species. More primates like Black and white Columbus monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabey, Red tailed monkeys, bush babies, pottos and many bird species like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, Little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee eater and mammals like Elephants can be seen in this trek.  Have lunch and relax for some time. Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will view wild animals en route as you transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Baboon Safari Resort

Day10: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Game drive and Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel/optional community walk

Have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning game drive within the park. Anticipate to see the famous big five including Buffalos, elephants, Lions and other mammals like Giant forest hog, Bush bucks, Kobs, Hyenas and water bucks. In the afternoon hours you will partake in a launch cruise along Kazinga channel. You will appreciate the high scores of Elephants, Hippos, Buffalos and crocodiles. A number of bird species will also be seen along including the rare shoe bill. Diner and overnight at Baboon Safari Resort

Day11: Tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi

Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi, this area is known for its tree-climbing lions.

In Ishasha we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with Topis, African Elephants, Warthogs, Cape Buffaloes and to hopefully get the Tree climbing Lions high in the fig tree branches. Continue the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savanna, via cultivated hills to jungle covered mountains. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp

Day12: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest-Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

In preparation the Gorilla trekking experience, we shall have early breakfast, with our packed lunch then assemble at the park headquarters for briefing about this breath taking activity. Time spent tracking depends on where the gorillas spent the night and their feeding range or encounter with other groups which might be wild forcing them to move long distances so be prepared for a whole day activity. Once found you spend an hour with them, seeing these gentle giants interact is awesome and the marvelous wildlife encounter on the African continent and an unforgettable. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Eco Resort

Day13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a game drive

After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Leave Mbarara and continue driving through the undulating green covered and terraced hilly areas. Arrive in the park and have lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon game drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas. Dinner and overnight at Rwakobo Rock

Day14: Morning Safari walk in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Entebbe via the equator line!

After having an early breakfast, go for a morning safari walk in Lake Mburo national park. This park is famous for walks inside and around the park on foot where you can see long horned cattle of Ankole community which can mix freely with Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. Checkout of the lodge and transfer to Entebbe with lunch along the way!! But along the way, you will make a stopover at the Equator line to have an authentic feel of standing at Latitude 00. You will arrive in the evening and be transferred to Entebbe international airport to readily catch your flight back to your next designated destinations as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa.
