Enjoy 9 Days Combined safari for game viewing, gorilla trekking and volcano hiking in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. This 9 days’ trip in Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo safari is an ultimate African Safari through Uganda, Rwanda and Congo offering a once in a lifetime experience as you track mountain gorillas in the Virunga Region. You will also visit Queen Elizabeth National Park and relax on the islands of Lake Bunyonyi before crossing to Rwanda for another gorilla trekking experience and later visit the Nyiragongo Volcanoes.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Wildlife park (5-7hrs)

In the morning, our driver guide will pick up and transfer you  to Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Park, you will stop at the Equator for photography, lunch in Mbarara. Take an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/ Katara lodge/Park View Lodge/Enganzi Lodge.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise

You will wake up early and go for the morning Mornin by our Wild Epic Safaris guide/guide for a game drive looking out for African Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes and many more, retire for lunch and embark on afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, famous for the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa. Expect an encounter with huge Nile crocodiles and more than 611 bird species. Overnight at your lodge of Day 1

Day 3: Ishasha game drive, transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Park (4-6hrs)

Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Park with en-route game drive through the Ishasha sector, famous for tree climbing lions and have a stopover at Savannah hotel for lunch. In the afternoon,proceed to Bwindi in Ruhija sector of the national park reaching in the early evening and later going for a visit in the adjacent Batwa community villages. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga lodge/ Bwindi forest Lodge/ Bakiga lodge/ Gorilla mist camp.

Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla trekking, transfer to lake Bunyonyi

You will have an early morning breakfast and then transfer to the national park headquarters for briefing before trekking. At 8:30am you will start the hiking in search for the gorillas which will take you roughly 6 hours in the jungle after which you will descend back to the hotel. In the afternoon, transfer to lakeBunyonyi a lava dammed lake of wonders. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages/Bunyonyi Island Resort/Bunyonyi Eco Resort/ Bunyonyi Rock Resort.

Day 5: Cross to Rwanda & City tour (7-9hrs)

You’ll have morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Rwanda crossing via Katuna border. On reaching kigali, you’ll have a city tour to different tourism sites, have lunch and then proceed to Volcanoes national park. Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge/Gorilla solution lodge.

 6: Several Tour Options & transfer to lake Kivu

On this day, you have several options all done in the volcanoes national park from which you will choose which one you prefer. These include mountain gorilla trekking/Golden monkey trekking or hike to Diana Fossey site, nestled between the beautiful twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

After lunch, transfer to lake Kivu, relax on the shores / beach, or take a boat cruise to coffee Island, dinner and overnight at Kivu Serena Hotel, / Hotel paradise Marahide.

Day 7: Cross to DR Congo

Have a morning breakfast, and transfer to Goma town in the Democratic Republic of Congo which will take you roughly 3 hours drive. Have a city tour in Goma and then proceed to Virunganatioanl park. Dinner and overnight at Mikeno lodge/ Bukima tented camp/ Nyiragongo Volcano tented camp.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking in the Virunga national park

After a morning breakfast, transfer to the park headqautesr for briefing and then start the hiking into the forest looking out for the endangered species. You will also have greatchances of encountering other animals such as the colubuses, monkeys, and different bird and plant species in the forest. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge (day 7).

Day 9: Departure

Have morning breakfast and head to kigali for a return flight.
